VR-AI Medsets - Nurse Interviews About Training Solution
Featured at a national nursing awards event through a sponsored immersive video showcasing VR‑AI Medsets designed and produced end‑to‑end by the company I founded. Secured participation from IBMers who contributed enterprise perspectives on Generative AI and Watson AI.
As founder-operator, I led the teams that grew the company to high six‑figure annual recurring revenue across almost nine years (2016 - 2025), through sustained, client‑funded growth.
Between 2020 and 2022, we completed three unsuccessful applications to the Innovate UK grant programme for the innovation showcased in the video. Although a university spinout later (2023) reported an Innovate UK funding award for the same concept, our approach, development timeline and implementation remain independently conceived and distinct. In 2025, the company was awarded its first matched AI upskilling grant.
The company delivered consistent revenue growth and technological innovation throughout its lifetime. In 2020 and 2023, I was named inventor on two UK tech patent applications: GB2598609, covering novel content delivery architecture and GB2627475, defining an advanced VR and haptics interaction system. I am currently working on a third UK or first US (where potentially relevant prior art exists) patent application, expanding this trajectory of innovation.
After nearly nine years of trading, the company concluded operations in 2025. The main reason was prolonged capital and credit limitations; it achieved service-market fit.

The business produced a lot of videos over the years and this was the most involved production. It was a 2023 entry into a competition by a portfolio of 11 specialist nursing journals covering CPD, revalidation, career development and clinical learning.
A four‑person on‑street team, ensured safety, smooth public interaction and a controlled production environment. Filming locations: Oxford Street - Marble Arch - Hyde Park - Edgware Road - Paddington, London, United Kingdom.
Prepare yourselves: this video includes both improv with a member of the public and light humour.

The business engaged various actors to bring its simulated patients to life. This video is the training from the actor's perspective.

The business innovated and this is a 2023 clip on removing limits to medical skills training. The training centres started in person - limiting reach geographically. Drawing on my experience as founder-operator of a business in the video games (retail) industry, our aim was to apply immersive technology to education by using VR and AI to make high-quality clinical skills training more accessible and scalable. Healthcare professionals are used to wearing gloves, so we developed with glove controllers to preserve muscle memory and so the transition from VR training to real life would be seamless.

Curated Work

From my work as part of a Telehealth organisation.
The business is for remote clinical consultations and it employs clinicians at every career stage. Its clinical leadership team includes a senior GP partner, a senior GP and a senior independent prescribing pharmacist who have national and international, NHS and private healthcare experience.
Its system is a CQC-aligned digital assurance system that maps regulatory requirements into day-to-day operations. By embedding governance requirements into routine workflows, the platform provides a continuous, real-time assurance and audit trail. This complements formal clinical audit by providing a live evidence base that governance processes are operating as intended.
This was my first innovation in digital clinical governance and the video is part of the 2026 clinician onboarding process.
